We’re excited to announce that our founder Zawadi Nyong’o will be leading a three-part virtual ZeroByZawadi “SoulCare Yoga” series with Project Yoga Richmond on August 15th, 22nd & 29th, 2020.

The intention of this three-part series is to create a sanctuary for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and all People Of Color) to heal in the comfort of their own homes, while connecting with each other energetically. There has never been a better time for us to nourish our souls, tap into our divinity, and break the ties that hold us back from being the highest expression of ourselves. Yoga, beyond the physical practice, can be used as a doorway to our own (and our communities’) liberation.

During this three-part series we will use a variety of practices, including yoga asana, breathing exercises and journaling, to remember who we truly are - powerful beyond measure. When we draw from the wisdom of our own souls, and those who came before us, we are able to stand firm and thrive in all seasons of our lives. And when we heal ourselves, we heal our families, our communities, and the world. 

We will use several practical, accessible and effective tools and practices (yoga Asana, breathing exercises, journaling, using your voice for healing, etc) to help cultivate ZeroByZawadi’s9 Seeds of SoulCare”:

  3. Receive

  4. Reconnect

  5. Root

  6. Restore

  7. Redefine

  8. Reawaken

  9. Remember - that you are a powerful soul being with no limitations.
